Discovery 203 (D203) is a 3000HP high-capacity onshore drilling rig in the fleet of Charlvon Energy Services Limited (CESL), engineered for deep, complex, and high-load drilling and completion operations. The rig commenced field operations in 2025, marking a strategic expansion of CESL’s capability to support more demanding onshore drilling programs in Nigeria.
Operations & Project Experience
Since deployment, Discovery 203 has successfully executed its maiden campaign on the Olomoro Field (OML 30) in Delta State for Heritage Energy, delivering a drilling and completion scope on Olomoro-41. The operation demonstrated the rig’s suitability for full well delivery under challenging subsurface and operational conditions.

- Successfully drilled and completed Olomoro-41 to a total depth of 11,741 ft
- Demonstrated stable performance of a 3000HP VFD/SCR system, suitable for deeper wells and higher hook load requirements
