Chinonyerem Njoku is a veteran well-delivery specialist whose more than thirty years of international experience spans complex well design, construction and operations across Nigeria (land, swamp and deepwater), Malaysia (offshore), the United States (Gulf of Mexico) and the Gulf of Guinea.

He combines deep technical judgement with pragmatic project leadership, embedding rigorous well planning, HSE discipline and supply-chain oversight to convert technically challenging programmes into predictable, on-budget outcomes. His approach tightly integrates risk mitigation, contract stewardship and contractor performance management so that safety and operational excellence directly support capital efficiency.

He led delivery of 19 wells (17 new swamp wells and two initial completions) in under four years, cut average well cost from US$26 million to under US$17 million, and shortened well delivery from 60 to 45 days.

With a B.Eng. Degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka Chinonyerem’s delivery record materially de-risks upstream investment. COREN-registered and a member of the NSE and the SPE, he has proven ability to optimise capital, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and technical integrity.
